Message #75386
[Bug 1272862] Re: Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 14: out of memory
After upgrade from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS got this error message with
three fonts "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf"
# uname -a
Linux harri-Veriton-X2610G 3.13.0-37-generic #64-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 22 21:28:38 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Starting firefox from shell did show the issue.
SOLVED (thanks to Marius Gedminas' propsal) by `sudo apt-get purge fonts-khmeros-core`

Bug description:
Ever since gnome 3.10 showed up in the gnome3-team PPA for saucy I've
been seeing these three errors repeated on the console when launching
GUI apps:
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 14: out of memory
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 23: out of memory
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 32: out of memory
Even running dot from graphviz to produce an image prints these
errors.
This did not happen with fontconfig 2.10.93-0ubuntu1.
/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf looks like a simple file with no fancy
stuff in it (attached, just in case).
