Title:
Inappropriate Default Resolution & change commands are not available

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Macmini i7-3515@2.30GHz. OS X 10.9 with Parallels. Ubuntu 14.04 (64b)
has this issue. Monitor is FPD1730.

Display defaults to "Built-in Display 800x600." Change commands are
  greyed out.

Been unchanged since original installation. All updates are installed.
  Makes no difference.

It's too coarse to work with.

U 12.04(32bit) does not have this issue. Default resolution
recognizes resolution set on host system and scales the window
appropriately to display the whole U desktop.

  Help!

  Thanx
