Title:
Software Center does not meet current common design standards

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
The Ubuntu Software Center does not meet common design standards for most peoples' aesthetic tastes today. There are too many grey and white colors, design elements are not universally found throughout the app (as in it doesn't have a common theme throughout the app), banners do not fill up the entire top portion of the window, and is overall a "meh" experience.
If Canonical wants Ubuntu to appeal to the Target Audience (the General Public), major design changes toward a universal theme across the board needs to be made.
