I have the same problem.
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Firefox 31.0
(process:6524): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion
'sys_page_size == 0' failed
The firefox applications opens normally when opened from Terminal, but
not withouth throwing this error.
