(eduroam with University Potsdam account)

Title:
iwl3945abg: Can not connect to 'eduroam' (PEAP, MSCHAPv2)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Since I am running Trusty on my ThinkPad T60 with Intel PRO/Wireless
3945ABG I can no longer connect to the 'eduroam' wireless network of
University of Potsdam. It again and again asks for user-name and
password. Dead certain, there is no spelling mistake. My Nexus 5
connects just fine. It is even more. With Ubuntu 12.04.5 live and
earlier I can OOB successfully connect with the 'eduroam' network.

While trying to connect syslog says:
