[Bug 1379713] Re: Pidgin crashes when pidgin-skype is installed

Found a hint at http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=117788:

After an update to GLib in Jessie the other day some/a lot of
program may exit with the message Attempt to unlock mutex that was not
locked. This is because of change in how GLib handles unlocking of non
locked mutex.

So a recompile of the package seems neccesary?

Title:
Pidgin crashes when pidgin-skype is installed

Status in “pidgin” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
It seems the pidgin-skype extension causes a

the problem but then I can no longer access my skype chats of course.
