Title:
Language selector should allow selecting newly marked languages as the
default immediately
Status in “language-selector” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: language-selector
Language selector should allow that when support for a new language is
selected, it immediately appears in the "Default language" list so
that it may be selected. Only if the language support installation
fails, it should be reverted to the previous default.
This is an usability issue, doubling the work required (starting
language selector two times). This is also related to my recent post
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-
discuss/2007-August/001533.html where towards the end I'm wishing for
improved ability to select and download languages on the desktop CD.
With this improvement language-selector would take one step towards
it.
