I am currently having this exact problem with Linux Mint 17, Mate 64
bit, with LibreOffice Version: 4.2.6.3, Build ID: 420m0(Build:3). Very
irritating there is no fix.

  Missing pictures in help

Bug description:
  Open Libreoffice Writer and press F1 (or click on Libreoffice Help).
  Then a new window will open and the help will be shown, but no
  pictures are displayed in the help (see attached screenshot).
