Title:
  Cant install proprietary drivers/fglrx

Status in “fglrx-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I have been trying to install proprietary ati drivers from amd website
  but every time I reboot system it boots into black screen after which
  I have to purge them.

  Second problem arises when I try to install fglrx from Ubuntu repos
  through terminal which doesnt allow me to install drivers without
  removing wine/playonlinux.Now I am stuck with open-source ones
