  rhythmbox doesn't respond to rhythmbox-client requests

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 14.04
  rhythmbox 3.0.2

  Rhythmbox is running and responds to the play button in its window,
  but doesn't respond to rhythmbox-client requests. Just upgraded to
  14.04. This was working prior to the upgrade (32-bit 12.04LTS, 64-bit
  13.04).

  philbert@philbert:~$ ps -e | grep rhythm
   3615 ? 00:12:08 rhythmbox
  philbert@philbert:~$ rhythmbox-client --debug --play
