Bug description:
Binary package hint: epiphany-browser
Hi.
I'm having issues with the new Epiphany handling of Chinese GB and
Chinese BIG5 encoding. I was trying to have a line of Chinese BIG5
text translated to Chinese GB using Yahoo Babel Fish but the resulting
translation turned out to be nothing but gibberish (see
http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg405/7641/62encodingissues228gnom.png).
Trying with Firefox firefox 3.5.4+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 went
smoothly i.e. it returned the correct Chinese GB translation as
expected (see the attached
http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg405/8997/56encodingissues228gnom.png).
It seems again to be a webkit and not gecko issue I had no such
problems in previous versions of Epiphany e.g. GNOME 2.26. Just not
sure if this is again an upstream bug like #475174 is or otherwise.
Hope someone can help enlighten me on it.
