I can't test on Ubuntu, because I've only Mint running.

The Transmission version is: transmission-gtk 2.82 (14160).

Bug description:
  I've was running Transmission for a long time (overnight), and it
  seems to have changed inode/directory to the default browser in
  mimeapps.list.
