  flicker at login

Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  upon login, unity-greeter blanks the screen to black before unity-
  settings-daemon comes up and draws desktop wallpaper.  This thus
  results in black screen flicker.

  with lightdm-gtk-greeter user's wallpaper stays painted throughout
  logging in process.
