[Bug 1391842] Re: Mobile broadband doesn't work in utopic (worked in trusty)
Chris, could you try and remove ofono? It's likely the inclusion of both
ofono (from unity8 session stuff) and modemmanager is causing an issue.

Title:
Mobile broadband doesn't work in utopic (worked in trusty)
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I realized today that I can no longer use the 3G adapter in my laptop
since upgrading to utopic. Please find attached a screenshot of the
nm-applet menu - you'll notice that my adapter appears to be listed
twice ("Mobile Broadband (Dell DW5560)" and "Mobile Broadband ()").
Trying to enable mobile broadband and then clicking on
"/234308387636800/context1" (what does that even mean?) results in a
rather unhelpful error dialog (see the second screenshot).
Trying to enable mobile broadband and then clicking on "New Mobile
Broadband connection..." results in nothing happening except for that
menu entry becoming checked. But no internet.
I can't add a connection via "Edit Connections..." because no 3G
devices are listed.
