[Bug 1396735] Re: Thumbnails for GIF images fail

Nautilus does not use the thumbnailer, it does thumbnailing by itself.
Thus this is not a bug in the thumbnailer library. Reassigning to
Nautilus.

** Also affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Changed in: thumbnailer
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  Thumbnails for GIF images fail

Status in Thumbnail generator for all kinds of files:
  Invalid
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  On a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.10, I am unable to see thumbnails for
  GIF images.

  ~/.cache/thumbnails/fail/gnome-thumbnailer-factory contains one PNG
  for every GIF I attempt to see a thumbnail of. This is reproducible;
  if I clear that folder and then have Nautilus refresh a folder with
  three GIFs in it, three PNGs will appear.
