Title:
  Shutting lid on laptop locks the computer, even though action is set
  to none

Status in lightdm package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I am using my laptop with an external display. When I want to close
  the built-in display, while working on the external, the computer is
  locked for no reason.

  Settings > Power > Lid = Do nothing is selected on both on battery and
  when plugged in.

  I would expect nothing to happen when I close the built-in display.
