Message #87618
[Bug 186027] Re: [Hardy] totem when playing an audio file windowed corrupts the screen
Caroline Ford, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Hardy Desktop reached EOL on May 12, 2011.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases .
Is this an issue on a supported release? If so, could you please run the
following command in the development release from a Terminal as it will
automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this
report:
apport-collect -p xorg 186027
Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
[Hardy] totem when playing an audio file windowed corrupts the screen
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: totem
Current hardy (alpha 3+updates)
Totem 2.21.90-0ubuntu3 (using gstreamer not xine)
Load an MP3 file. Totem is windowed and the line below the menu
flickers and stretches horizontally across the entire desktop (see
attachments). If you maximise the window the corruption goes away.
I don't believe this is Bug #19263 as that was different corruption
and involved xine not gstreamer.
I'm using the TRIDENT video driver if that is important.
