Gianfranco Liporace, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Gutsy reached EOL on April 18th, 2009.

Is this an issue in a supported release? If so, could you please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 149451

Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information.

Bug description:
  Installed Ubuntu Gutsy Beta on a Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi, the touchpad doesn't work at all.
  I don't know if it is a kernel bug or a X problem, i'll attach all the relevant file for debugging.
