Title:
Alt-Shift does not propagate to remote host
Status in rdesktop package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: rdesktop
Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) with latest updates
I connect to remote host (Windows XP Pro with latest updates) using
tsclient. v0.148 Switch of keyboard layout on Windows is binded to
Alt-Shift.
While connected, the switch of keyboard layout via Alt-Shift is
possible only at a logon screen. Further on, this functionality does
not work. Press Alt-Shift and it will look like the Alt key is kept
pressed (the menus that a binded on Alt-letter combinations are
starting to fly around). But it is not possible to actually switch
keyboard layout on remote host.
This behavior is observed in rdesktop-1.4.1 and in rdesktop 1.5.0
(built from official sources and checkinstall-ed) as well.
Workaround: Assign switch of Keyboard layout to Ctrl-Shift on the
remote host (not really convenient).
