[Bug 997010] Re: Slow screen update in Remmina on Ubuntu 12.04 in a local Windows XP VirtualBox VM
Pkapsc, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
with the latest version of remmina in Precise, or a later version of
Ubuntu, and a supported version of Windows?
If so, please execute the following via a terminal as it will gather necessary debugging information:
apport-collect 997010
As well, please provide click-for-click steps to reproduce this problem,
as well as the OS you were trying to remote into.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Slow screen update in Remmina on Ubuntu 12.04 in a local Windows XP
VirtualBox VM
Status in remmina package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Ubuntu 12.04 host

When connecting to the Windows XP client, screen update is very slow
and delayed. See attached screenshot, where the process explorer is
shown, which updates its screen content rather frequently. Remmina is
not able to display that correctly.
When connecting via vnc, the update is correct.
This problem also occurrs using this PPA:

The problem does NOT occurr when using KRDC.
