  1) lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu Vivid Vervet (development branch)
  Release:	15.04

  2) apt-cache policy gedit
  gedit:
    Installed: 3.10.4-0ubuntu7
    Candidate: 3.10.4-0ubuntu7
    Version table:
   *** 3.10.4-0ubuntu7 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  3) What is expected to happen is when one opens the attached document

  > Ctrl+H > in the "Search for:" text box put a space > immediately
  click button Replace All, all the spaces are removed.

  4) What happens instead is gedit hangs indefinitely. Originally
  reproduced in gedit 2.12.1.
