[Bug 442338] Re: No way to start a new login when using XDMCP

I don't even know what's going on with the greeters in newer versions of
Ubuntu. I assume XDMCP has been consigned to the history books. I guess
it's something I'll have to Google for a while to find a workaround.

Title:
No way to start a new login when using XDMCP

Status in gdm package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
If I login locally, I can choose to start as many new login sessions as I please on the local machine.
However, if I first login via XDMCP there is no way to start a new session without first logging out of the remote machine, logging in to the local machine, and then starting a new session so I can log back into the remote machine.

Wouldn't it be better to stop an XDMCP session from launching on tty7
so that the local login is always available?
