Title:
brightness applet gauge is shown in wrong screen position
Status in gnome-panel package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
sometimes, brightness applet do strange things. The most frequent is
that brightness gauge appears (in my desktop) in the upper-left corner
of the screen. The screenshot is taken NOT during a bug event... it is
simply to show the gauge expected position... the bug occurs when it
appears upper-left, but the response to click and drag of the
indicator still be at the expected position... it's like the graphic
is misplaced, and it is tricky because you want to go to where the
gauge is to drag the brigness dial... but when clicking upper-left it
disappears. This is also followed by the red indicator that the
"brightness applet can not get screen brightness" but the applet still
working as usually, this is, i can get the brightness modified by
changing it from the applet.... but the red symbol is present like
saying that it is some kind of error somewhere.
