Title:
Regression: 01_logview_pkexec.patch breaks Application menu in gnome-
shell
Status in Gnome System Log:
Fix Released
Status in gnome-system-log package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Via the patch called 01_logview_pkexec.patch, System Log's launcher
has been edited to run the application through pkexec. As a result,
the application does not communicate through the logged in user's
session bus. This means it is unable to provide application menu
entries to gnome-shell, resulting in a completely empty application
menu.
