Title:
evince frequently freezes after upgrade to new version of Ubuntu

Status in evince package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Frequently use a few large PDF's for university reference. Before
upgrade, evince displayed and searched these PDF's all day without
  hiccup.

Now, after a few searches, or some scrolling, evince window goes
monochrome, but no crash report happens. Window simply stops
  responding.

Only method of fix is to hit close button on frame border, or kill the
  process.
