  Logitech USB Optical Mouse kills complete PC?

Status in xserver-xorg-input-mouse package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I do NOT know if it is the right package but it seems for me like an
  problem with the mouse hardware.

  Before it was old PS/2 keyboard and mouse from Logitech.

  Since some weeks i have an new keyboard and mouse (Logitech K120) on
  the Mainboard USB 2.0 Ports and got now the second killed machine
  within weeks! Coming home an machine is fresh restarted, awaiting for
  the login credentials.

  Looking into dmesg (attached), it is full of:

  [25258.038198] usb 3-2: USB disconnect, device number 98
  [25259.591840] usb 3-2: new low-speed USB device number 99 using ohci-pci
  [25259.762406] usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=046d, idProduct=c05a
