Title:
compiz loses track of underlying windows when you minimize full-screen
thunderbird
Status in compiz package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
If you run Thunderbird in maximized mode and then minimize it, compiz
seems to lose track of windows that were underneath. It exhibits
drawing glitches and you can't select the window with the mouse, even
with the scroll key, unless you use the unity launcher. Sometimes you
can't redisplay Thunderbird with the unity launcher unless you first
select another window, eg firefox.
This happens both in my main laptop and in VMs and is quite
reproducible.
For instance, in the attached screenshot, I had Synaptic (non-
maximized) running over Firefox (maximized) and then I displayed
Thunderbird in maximized mode and hit the minimize button. Thunderbird
minimized correctly, but the Synaptic and Firefox windows were not
responsive to the mouse, and you can see a line of graphics corruption
running across from the software centre launcher icon.
If Thunderbird is not in maximized mode, this doesn't happen.
