Title:
blank space above desktop when using multiple monitors with different
vertical heights
Status in metacity package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: metacity
Hi,
Seems this problem has been there forever and it continues. I have a laptop 1600x900 display coupled to another 1920x1080 desktop display. after setting up a extended desktop in the monitor settings, i noticed there's a blank space my mouse can disappear into when pointing around the 1600x900. Attached is a screenshot that explains it much easily!
Proposed solution is: Make mouse pointer snap to top of the shorter
display when moving back from a taller one, assuming it would
otherwise move into the black zone.
Not sure of the package. Since I am not running nvidia proprietary
drivers or Gallium, its nouveau + metacity i believe. Although since
the problem exists in compiz as well it probably has something to do
with X :( Please correct?
