[Bug 676749] Re: [Realtek ALC888] No sound from laptop speakers - EAPD not enabled
Official support for Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" has ended. If this
bug is still occurring on Ubuntu 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" please run
ubuntu-bug to file a new bug report.
In addition please test the 3.18.1 mainline kernel on Ubuntu 14.10
"Utopic Unicorn" and an update to your new bug report. The 3.18.1
mainline kernel is available at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/ and instructions on how to install and uninstall it are
available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds

Sound can be made to work by using the HDAAnalyzer tool by enable EAPD
on Node[0x14] or Node[0x15]
