[Bug 599282] [NEW] Firefox release notes replaced by Ubuntu release notes

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 9.10
Release:        9.10
$ apt-cache policy firefox
firefox:
  Installerad: 3.5.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1
  Kandidat: 3.5.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1
  Versionstabell:
 *** 3.5.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 0
        500 http://security.ubuntu.com karmic-security/main Packages
        500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu6 0

What I expect to happen:
When I go to Help --> Release Notes, I expect to come to a page with release notes for Firefox.

What happened instead
Help --> Release Notes opened a page with release notes for Ubuntu. Firefox wasn't even mentioned on the page.

This menu item exist on Firefox on both Vista and Ubuntu. At least with Swedish locale, where the menu item is Hjälp --> Versionsfakta.
I expect Firefox to be consistent and show its own release notes, regardless of platform. A user of Vista or Mac OS X, who comes to Ubuntu, doesn't expect this menu item in Firefox to open release notes for Ubuntu.

It's fine to have a separate menu item with release notes for Ubuntu,
but please make it evident which one is for which product.

Since this looks like a deliberate (but bad) decision, I expect the same
behavior on Ubuntu 10.04 with Firefox 3.6, but I haven't tested yet.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Fix Released
