[Bug 707380] Re: Inconsistent Writer combo box action in Format -> Page -> Columns tab
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. This Ubuntu release has reached EOL for Desktops.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
I've tried recreating this bug with Ubuntu 15.04 and was unable to,
given the information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest
version (I suggest Ubuntu 14.04) and re-test. If the bug is still
reproducible, increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we
can try again.
Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
Inconsistent Writer combo box action in Format -> Page -> Columns tab
Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in openoffice.org package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
To reproduce:
Open Writer
Start a new document
Format -> Page
Columns (tab)
Columns: 2
Spacing: 1.0
Press enter immediately (without moving anywhere else)
What happens:
Two columns with spacing of 0.0 are created
Further:
Repeat all the steps, but before pressing enter select something else in the format dialog (for example move the cursor to the number of columns without changing anything.
Then press enter
What happens:
Now the columns are created with the correct spacing.
What i expect to happen:
I should not need to move the cursor to another text box for the software to notice the update to the spacing of columns.
