[Bug 771896] Re: No way to save current session
This is still working for me in GNOME 3 on Trusty. See

comment #4 for a succinct summary of the rather involved way to activate
the session saving/restoring workaround.

have Unity start up and then save that setup. This also affects the
Classic session.
