Title:
[AMD Mullins + Jet XT] The graphic is not switchable with fglrx
Status in fglrx-installer package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This laptop got following GPUs:
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Mullins [Radeon R2 Graphics] [1002:9852]
01:00.0 Display controller [0380]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Jet XT [Radeon R5 M240] [1002:6664]
After system upgraded (trusty, 20150114) and installed the proprietary
driver listed in "Addional Drivers", the system still tells "AMD
Radeon(TM) R2 Graphics" is in use, but there is no way to switch to
the other discrete graphic card.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Fresh install
2. Install fglrx(proprietary driver)
3. Go to System Setttings -> Details
or
4. Open AMD Catalyst Control Center
Expected result:
The graphic card are expected to be in used by the system.
Or
Able to switch in between graphic chips
Actual result:
Unable to switch the graphic and only integrated GPU is using by
system.
