  gedit crashed with signal 5 in _XReply()

Bug description:
  Editing a basic text file, the weird behavior starts after copying a
  text, the mouse cursor starts flickering a lot, ibus-daemon and
  ibus-x11 then take 100% CPU. CPU back to normal as soon as another
  window than gedit gets active.
