Title:
Incorrect encoding of slashes in paths
Status in Desktop CouchDB:
Confirmed
Status in desktopcouch package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
When calling views from desktopcouch, slashes that are not part of the
database name are encoded to %2Fs which CouchDB (1.0.1) considers
invalid after which it sends a 301 or 302, and the request is
redirected. This means that any call to a view will consist of two
requests/responses, where only one is necessary.
This may be a bug in the underlying python-couchdb library, in which
case we'll want to investigate whether it's solved in a more recent
release than we're using, and if not, file a bug against that project.
