Title:
gnome-contacts stopped showing contacts from Google accounts
Status in gnome-contacts package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
In precise, one could add a Google account in gnome-online-accounts,
and its contacts would show up in gnome-contacts. This is broken in
quantal.
To reproduce from a fresh account:
1. Start gnome-contacts.
2. At the prompt for choosing between “Online Accounts” and “Use Local Address Book”, click “Online Accounts”.
3. Click “+”, select Account Type “Google”, follow the prompts to log into a Google account.
4a. In precise, the gnome-contacts window immediately switches to prompt you to choose between “Local Address Book” and “Google”. Click “Google” and “Select”, and after a little while, all your Google contacts show up.
4b. In quantal, nothing happens. The prompt from step 2 has not changed, and there is no way to select “Google”. (If you choose “Local Address Book”, then the only option under “Change Address Book” from the menu will be “Local Address Book”.)
