Bug description:
A few months - sometime after getting Time Warner Cable - I lost the shut down option. I have to manually hold the power button in for 5 seconds. Where did it go? I know that I did not delete it even if I could. Is it something that Time Warner does with the cable modem? Very annoying. How can I fix this? Can you fix this? 12.04 LTS has been very problematic for me. I have to pray that Unity will pop out. It may take many tries of slamming the mouse against the edge. I've tried low and high sensitivity and in the middle; it doesn't seem to matter!! I can't tell you how many times I've had to wait for my mouse click to do anything!! 30 seconds or more and very often!! What happened to Ubuntu???
Very frustrated with this version of Ubuntu!! I can't seem to find where to stop scripts until one hangs the system for minutes!!! Even when I click "stop script" It laughs at me!! Not really, just hangs some more. There is no option in the system that I can locate that lets me choose " don't run scripts" or something equivalent. Help! Please, I really hate Windows. I've been using Linux systems for many years, I'd like to stay a user of a real operating system rather than Bill's.
