Message #99675
[Bug 1417952] Re: [HP Pavilion 23 AIO] Stuck on the ubuntu loading splashscreen with fglrx installed
More debugging information:
Base on the error message, I tried to install linux-generic-headers and reinstall the driver, then link the shared object file with:
sudo ln -sf /usr/lib /usr/lib64
sudo mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/
sudo ln -sf /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so
It looks like this has resolved the .so file not found issue, but from the log it complains about there is no /dev/dri/card0.
(The actual location is /dev/ati/card0)

Bug description:
CID: 201212-12386 HP Pavilion 23 AIO
This AIO has two AMD graphic controller:

On 14.04.1, it could boot to desktop normally with the open-source driver, but not with fglrx / fglrx-updates.
It will stuck on the purple screen with "Ubuntu" and running dots, but at this moment, you could switch to console without any problem.
Error message could be found in the Xorg log:
