  does not use/launch ~/.local for pixmaps and bin

Bug description:
  Even though I can use an executable from ~/.local/bin, Unity does not
  launch it - it does include the .desktop file from
  ~/.local/share/applications - it doesn't display the icon from
  ~/.local/share/pixmaps.
