You are right, I changed the selection from multiple to single because it
gave weird behavior when moving elements up and down, but this leads to the
sort order not being persisted. Will fix it.

What do you mean here? User settings gets saved immediately when you do a
select an option in the select boxes.

Status in District Health Information Software 2: New

Bug description:
Data Elements and Indicator --> Data Element --> Sort Button

And here when i click Sort Button and start changing the data element short order but it looks that the order has been changed but when i come back to the dataelement page here i did not find the desired change in the order of specified datalement.

It means it is not working properly. and worse thing is that this bug is about to include in the DHIS2 Indian version local application which is going to be used by lots of non technical users.
