Great to see this, Saptarshi!

Just did a quick skim, and saw the following, which is now somewhat
misleading:

"For GIS functionality, the user interface requires a SVG renderer. This can
be browser native like in Firefox 3 or through a plug-in like Adobe SVG
Viewer for Internet Explorer."

That's true for the nice SVG based GIS module developed by the VN team, but
no longer for the MapFish-based module developed by Jan Henrik and Lars.
They are visiting VN at the end of the month to consolidate GIS efforts, so
I think this text could perhaps be removed or moved to a footnote.
