Problems using Mysql

I am getting the below error.

* ERROR 14:11:12,988 could not get database metadata (SchemaUpdate.java
[main])
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Unknown table
'sequences' in information_schema
