Don't know drupal well enough but in principle this is possible.  The
docbook rendering is all done through xslt which can certainly be pushed
around through PHP, though the amount of rendering required would be heavy
to do on each request.

Up till now we  haven't had shell access to the site.  Now I think we do I
think we might be able to make a plan.
