Hi, actually this is not a real bug. When you check in Indicator and/or
Indicator Group then exporting. The out file that you received which
always contains four sheets such as: Data Elements, Indicators,
Organisation Units, and Organisation Unit Hierarchy.

Notes: At the current, we are only support in exporting the main/needed
objects such above. So, if you even choose the others which are left
(DataSets, Reports, Validation rule, Group or Group Set, etc...) then
just only 4 sheets such above in the exported file. It's as same as PDF
or the other meta data export types. (comment from Lars).

  Problem in XLS MetaData Export for Indicator and Indicator Groups

Status in DHIS 2 - District Health Information Software:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  If XLS Meta Data for Indicator and Indicator Groups is Exported then
  the Exported file shows the list of DataElements instead of
  Indicators.
