Re: [Dhis2-users] DHIS-2 Report issues

Thanks for this workaround on the reporting completion. I’ll try it.

Another question came up today as we are working on the data visualizer:

My understanding was that if you create a chart as a superuser and save it as a favorite with the system checkbox checked, it should be visible for other users. We’ve tested it and that doesn’t seem to work.

We’d like to create re-useable charts that different users can use in their dashboards, so the system option would be very useful. The same functionality should be available for GIS favorites.

We’re using Version 2.7.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for the useful feedback on reporting. I think we should try to both improve reporting rate listing for the lowest level and include more orgunit filters in report tables. I would prefer we try to expand report table functionality rather than advocating for use of custom datasources with iReoport. The default template for iReport generated off a specific report table makes it so much easier to use iReport.

One possible quick fix for listing all leaf nodes that were supposed to report, but still haven't is to make a report table where you select the dataset you need and make sure it is crosstabbed. Then leave period and orgunits non-crosstabbed. Select reporting months in both periods and parameter and select leaf orgunits in parameter. The report table will then display the completeness percentage for all orgunits at the lowest level. There are three possible values; 100 for those who have reported, 0 for those that have still not reported, and blank/NULL for those that are not supposed to report(not assigned to that dataset). In iReport you can filter which rows to display based on that field, so e.g. just list all facilities that still haven't reported. Haven't done exactly this before, but pretty sure you can do this filtering in iReport.

In the meantime we will work on improving the generic tools to meet your requirements, which seem very reasonable.

Hi Randy,
On your issue with data completeness report ,you can get a report of defaulting orgunits(Facilities I guess) by selecting the next aggregation level to your facilities as your default Org unit in your defining parameters . This report shows the selected org unit as well as all children under that unit.
I agree this is not a straight forward method as it looks like the data completeness report was primarily designed to give overviews of gross completeness reports rather than 'individual' focused reporting. There might be a need for improvement in future builds on this but you can still work with what we have now to get what you want.

Hi Randy,

How about using a custom report? There is a quite good section in the
implementers manual on how to use iReport.

Best regards,
Jason
