I remember once in these beloved place someone mentioned something about
MariaDB to replace MySQL. Is there anyone who ever tried?

I know that many of us use PostgreSQL. Anyway, MariaDB will be replace
MySQL soon at least for the Linux world as RedHat announced for the next
version (

So I am looking forward test on it.

Yes, most DHIS installations under Linux are Ubuntu based and Canonical did
not say nothing yet but much probably will move to MariaDB.
