Yes, it is a feature added in Version 2.22

  Before data elements with value type is yes/no in custom data entry
  form has data field is dropdown list, but now it is show all the
  options as radio buttons (attached file). Is this new version intent
  to behave or it is a bug? this happen in version 2.22 and newest
