Re: Event Capture 0.5.x - programs not showing up if they have program rules

Hello everyone,

We have released a small update for event capture which is fixing issues
related to sort order of data elements and options. You can find it here:
https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-android-eventcapture/releases/tag/0.5.7

You are welcome to provide any feedback on new version.

Best regards,

Hello everyone,

My apologies for replying late, I am currently on holidays and will be back
to work on November 7th.
<http://airmail.calendar/2016-11-07%2012:00:00%20PST> I have tried to reply
on all questions below.

*@Jean,*

1. Current version of event capture does not support skipping sections. We
are planning to add support of all program rule types in near future.

2. At the moment this number is not limited, so it should be possible to
assign any number of organisation units directly to the user.

*@Becky,*

1, 2. Thank you for reporting these issues, they should be fixed in next
release.

Thank you very much for feedback on event capture. If you have any other
problems or questions related to the app, do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Hi Araz,

Thanks for all of your ongoing support with for the Event Capture app! It’s
looking great. Just a couple more questions for you..

1. Is there a way to make the options in the options sets appear in
the same order as the web version? There doesn’t seem to be any order to
how they appear on the app now.

Here’s an example screenshot. We’d like the options to be sorted as we
designed in the browser (01, 02, …, 06, then > 06).

2. On the main screen, is it possible to view the data elements in
the same order as the form, instead of alphabetical order? It’s difficult
for our data collectors to verify their data against the alphabetical list.

Thanks,

Becky

Hi Araz,

Thank you for the response and releasing the app. on Github.

1. I tested the new apk release (0.5.6) and below is the remaining issue:

   - *Program rule*: The app is unable to hide or skip a full section when
it has been explicitly stated in the program rule (section: a list of data
   fields/questions).

We have come up with a workaround by hiding individual questions within the
section when the rule is TRUE. It works but the section header is still
visible (though the section is blank I.e. No visible questions).

2. Org Units: I understand the need to limit the downloadable org units in
the app. Also when I changed my user settings to specific org units, I was
able to see them in the app.

   - *Question*: Is there a limit on the number of subtree org Units one
can assign in order for them to be visible in the app?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Jean Fabius

Hi Knut, Mugisha

It seems gmail does not allow to send .apk files as attachments (it was
filtered out in my previous email). I have pushed new release to GitHub,
where you can download latest .apk file.

Release:
https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-android-eventcapture/releases/tag/0.5.6

Mugisha,

That behaviour is intentional. We download only those organization units to
which user is directly assigned to.

Please, let me know if you have any issues.

Best regards,

Hi Araz,

Thank you for the information.

We have had similar issues as described by Sam (program rules). Could you
please share the updated version with us as well? When will it be released
on GitHub?

2nd Issue: I only have access to District Org Units (as options) even
though my user settings allow access to all sub-district units (facility
level). Sam have you experienced this issue? Araz is this a known bug?

Please let me know if you have any questions.
