There is also the organisational unit merge function, similar to 1.4

but this is not selective for time periods and only appropriate for
completely removing one orgunit and merging it into another.

If you need to move one orgunits data to another, it is probably best to
reenter it. Otherwise, things could get messy fiddling with the database.
