We also faced the same Problem, it can be much better if it can be fixed as it always affects analytics from running and retrieving data from event reports.

As I see it currently if you add identical records already existing in the system DHIS2 still accepts them, is there a way of setting/configuring uniquely identifying each record instead of manually creating unique IDs which have to be entered as a field at data entry.
